The City of Lanesboro employs one full-time person for the Park Department and three part-time / seasonal positions.

Joe Rodgers is the Park Supervisor for the City and has been employed since 1999. He is responsible for maintaining the Park System, the Lanesboro Community Center, The Depot Building (Chamber of Commerce), Lanesboro Museum, Softball Field and Skate Park. Joe also manages and maintains the two city campgrounds, one located directly behind the park and one located north of the Lanesboro Public School Football Field. The City provides a Community Center that has a gymnasium, meeting room and dining room/kitchen that are available for rent. Joe maintains the entire building and prepares and maintains this area for rentals. He is also responsible for all of the grounds upkeep for our beautiful Park and all other areas of the City for which need grounds keeping and maintenance. Joe also participates with snow removal for the sidewalks surrounding the buildings stated above. Joe supervises up to three staff members in the Spring/Summer season!

Currently the City employs as part-time and seasonal staff: Roy “Bucky” Rogers, Sue Rodgers and Jake Fournier.
