This year's Buffalo Bill Days celebration marks its 29th year!
Why is it called Buffalo Bill Days? In 1900, the first of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Shows was performed in Lanesboro, comprised of 6 Indians (2 Indian maidens), 2 white men (Buffalo Bill and White Beaver) and a Mr. Man.
The annual celebration held the first weekend in August includes a firefighters' street dance that "Trouble Shooter" plays at, softball tournaments, volleyball tournaments, kids games, petting zoo and pony rides, a public dance at the beer/brat tent with "Next 2 Nothing" playing, fireworks, plays at the Commonweal Theater, a grand parade and much, much more!.
The City would like to thank the volunteers on the Buffalo Bill Day Committee for all they do to make this event such a successful, fun weekend for all!
