Public Utilities Meeting Called to Order:
Evenson called regular meeting to order.

Agenda:
Schuck made the motion to approve the agenda, second Evenson, motion carried.

Minutes:
Schuck made motion to approve the minutes as read, second Evenson, motion carried.

PERSON’S WITH BUSINESS BEFORE THE COMMISSION:

HOUSEKEEPING:
A. Paying of the Bills: Evenson made motion to pay bills as presented, second Schuck, motion carried.
B. Past Due Bills: Evenson noted to Vickerman to be sure to cut off those with past due amounts to be sure the bills are being paid and enforced.
C. Power Purchase: A motion was made by Commissioner Evenson to recommend reaffirming the prior commitment made to execute a Letter of Intent to purchase Power the Future 2 capacity and associated energy being made available by Wisconsin Electric Power Company (WEPCO) to the Western Wisconsin Municipal Power Group (WWMPG) at a designated amount not to exceed 500 kilowatts and authorizing Mayor Steve Rahn to execute such Letter of Intent in the form previously presented to the Lanesboro Public Utilities Commission as may be amended to provide for WWMPG’s acquisition of such WEPCO capacity and associated energy whether it be through the PTF-2 “Open Season” arrangement or a purchase power agreement with WEPCO, the execution thereof to constitute conclusive evidence of the Mayor’s approval of any and all changes or revision therein form the form of the letter of Intent hereby reaffirmed and approved, second was made by Schuck, motion unanimously carried.
D. Rebate Changes: Vickerman noted that the Energy Star program has new rebates coming out and more expensive light bulbs. Her suggestion was to offer the new rebates and to offer a percentage rebate on light bulbs. Evenson made a motion to have Vickerman create a new rebate schedule, second Schuck, motion carried.
E. Hydro Update: Vickerman stated that the Hydro is back in the Utility Plant and the contractor is working on getting it operational.
F. Flooding Update: Vickerman noted that the PU was affected with damage to the dam area and possibly to the scouring hole. The wastewater treatment plant was also affected. She will be updating the PU Commission if the City of Lanesboro is considered a presidential disaster area.
G. Transformer Failure - Insurance: Vickerman stated that if she could prove the need for the temporary transformer, it should be covered under insurance. She does not feel it will be difficult to do. She will keep the Commission updated on the claim.
H. DPC Customer Appreciation: Vickerman handed out invitations for the DPC Customer Appreciation event. She noted that she will need the RSVPs by July 2nd.
