HOUSEKEEPING:
A. Paying of the Bills: Evenson made motion to pay bills as presented, second Schuck, motion carried.
B. Past Due Bills: The past due bills were reviewed. Vickerman noted that the Cold Weather Rule was in effect and notices will be sent out in the next billing for procedures that customers can follow to prevent from being shut off.
C. Harriet Mordahl – Deductible reimbursement request: Mordahl has been in several times over the issues related to a water shut off that occurred during the Whittier Construction project. Mordahl states that her toilet exploded when the water was turned back on. She has had carpet damage and bathroom damage. She states her insurance company will pay for portions, but her deductible is $500. Vickerman noted that the claims have been turned into insurance; however the Public Utilities’ insurance will not cover the incident due to the emergency necessity. Vickerman advised the Commission not to reimburse Mordahl, due to the other possible claims that may come up due to that reimbursement. Drake made a motion to pay Mordahl up to $500, which is her deductible, second Schuck, motion carried.
D. Hydro / Green Power: Peterson noted that they have not been able to use the hydro as much lately due to low water. He also noted that during this time of year the leaves get choked up in the hydro wheel. He state that once the water flow is back they will begin operating the hydro again.
E. Bonestroo Update: Peterson noted that there has been no information from Bonestroo yet.
F. Miscellaneous Items: Vickerman noted that there are no other items that she is aware of.
