Conservation Improvement Program!

The Lanesboro Public Utilities implemented a conservation improvement program in 2002! But now, the program is coming to your doorstep. Our conservation improvement program is here to promote conservation of our energy sources. Our program offers rebates for purchases of Energy Star Appliances, energy efficient light bulbs, and service and maintenance on your existing heating and cooling systems by area contractors.

Also, once the City website is in full operation all forms and information on the CIP program will be available online!

What is a conservation improvement program?

Minnesota State Statute 216B.241 requires all Public Utilities to spend and invest for energy conservation improvements at 1.5% of their gross revenues. It is a program that expends these funds properly internally and externally to all of its customers to allow them to save money on their purchases, but also to save money by reduced energy bills! Not only that, but it also saves on the environment and promotes energy efficiency!

How does the Lanesboro Public Utilities plan to expend its funds?

Beginning in 2006, the Lanesboro Public Utilities is offering rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified energy star energy efficient appliances, rebates on fluorescent and high-intensity discharge lamps & service provided by local contractors on specific existing operating systems!

WE WANT TO HELP YOU SAVE MONEY NOW AND IN THE FUTURE!
