2021 City of Lanesboro Permits

Annual Permits for animals, golf carts, ball field parking, chickens and sidewalk/sandwich boards are due and ready for renewal. Please see the attached picture for more details on fees. Please note the fee for sidewalk permits has been waived by the city council for 2021, however we do still need the application on file.

City Wide Clean Up

Saturday May 8th


Lanesboro Bass Pond Parking Lot

Trucks will be available at the bass pond parking area to collect landfill items free of charge like in years past. A fee of $15.00 will be collected for all appliances and electronics. Paper shredding will be offered as a free service. We have a limit of 10 totes for shredding so it will be on a first come first served basis until all totes are full. Any community volunteers will be provided gloves and garbage bags to clean areas around Lanesboro!

Public Hearing Notice


Notice is hereby given that the City of Lanesboro will hold a Public Hearing on April 21st, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at The Lanesboro Community Center, 202 Parkway Avenue South, Lower Level Meeting Room 

This Public Hearing is being held to consider a Conditional Use Permit for an illuminated sign. The property is located at 100 Beacon Street West, Sylvan Brewing. Please contact the City Office with any questions. All residents and property owners within the City of Lanesboro are encouraged to attend.

Seasonal Help Wanted

Seasonal Park/Campground Maintenance Position

The City of Lanesboro is accepting applications for a part-time Seasonal Park Maintenance position for the 2021 season.  This position will include 20 hours per week and will run from approximately June to September, must be able to work weekends.  Applicants must have a valid drivers license.  Applications may be picked up at City Hall at 202 Parkway Avenue South or e-mail to receive an electronic copy.

Applications are due by 3:00, Wednesday April 7, 2021.

Freezing Pipes Notice

With the stretch of cold temperatures we want to remind residents to monitor water temps to help prevent frozen water lines. The policy is attached below.

Please notify our office if your water temps fall below the recommend 35 degrees. Thank you!
