Building permits can be found below, as well as in person at the City Office. 

Simply complete the application and submit the permit, along with any applicable fees to the City Office.

The permit will then be reviewed by the City Administrator, Planning & Zoning, and Historic Preservation as necessary.

Planning a project? 

The Lanesboro Zoning Ordinance states:

No person shall erect, add onto, remove, demolish, or move any kind of structure or building or part thereof without first securing a Building Permit from the Zoning Administrator.

Thinking of operating a business out of your home?

There is a permit required to do so. The home occupation application must be filled out and returned to the City Office along with the fee of $100. The application will then be reviewed by Planning & Zoning, as well as the City Council.

Planning And Zoning Meetings:

The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of five volunteers. This Commission meets regularly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m., any Special Meetings or changes to the regular meeting scheduled will be noted on the City calendar. The Planning & Zoning Commission meets in the Lanesboro Community Memorial Center Chamber Room.
